EMS Lieutenant (Part-Time)

The Oregon Area Fire/EMS District (OAFED) is seeking a dedicated and experienced EMS professional to join our team as a part-time EMS Lieutenant. This vital role is perfect for a team-oriented individual who has a passion for teaching and training EMS professionals across all levels.

As an EMS Lieutenant, you will work closely with the Division Chief of EMS to coordinate and deliver high-quality training programs. Your efforts will directly support the advancement of our EMS Division, ensuring that all staff are well-prepared and trained to provide exceptional patient care. In addition to your training responsibilities, you will also be involved in staffing the ambulance and working in a team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 96 hours per month, which is a flexible schedule.
  • Shift staffing.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training and lesson plans.
  • Provide hands-on training to EMS staff.
  • Maintain and update all training materials.
  • Manage the Mid-Fidelity Manikin to enhance training simulations.
